I need some research help. I'm looking for information concerning the life and death of Jan Bryant Bartell, the author of SPINDRIFT: SPRAY FROM A PSYCHIC SEA (1974). I would especially like to hear from anyone who knew her or her husband, Fred G. Bartell.

I'm also seeking information about strange happenings, such as deaths and hauntings, at 14 and 16 West 10th Street in Greenwich Village, New York City.

If you can help, please e-mail me.

Words of Praise...

"In Death, Bones, and Stately Homes, Valerie Malmont aptly demonstrates that she can portray not only the charm and humor of a small town, but also the very real danger that threatens a newcomer who dares to challenge the status quo. In Lickin Creek, Tori Miracle discovers that even the nice people have guilty secrets."
Donna Andrews, author of You've Got Murder;
Murder with Peacocks; and
Revenge of the Wrought Iron Flamingos

"Valerie Malmont mixes amusing social satire with an excellent mystery in Death, Bones, and Stately Homes. I look forward to many more outings with spunky, charming Tori Miracle and her cast of friends."
Sujata Massey, Agatha Award winner
and author of The Samurai's Daughter

"Tori Miracle is a fresh and appealing amateur sleuth who charms you, then pulls you through the dark caves and sinister streets of Lickin Creek. Delighted with her company, you willingly follow along!"
- Sister Carol Anne O'Marie,
Death Goes on Retreat

"Valerie Malmont has created a small-town gothic Pennsylvania that's full of theater, pageantry, and murder... Pure pleasure for mystery lovers."
